There are two types of  letters of recommendation.  One is an academic letter of recommendation and the second one is a professional letter of recommendation.

  1. Academic Letter of recommendation :-  Academic letter of recommendation is provided by the university faculty member of your previous institution. Most of the foreign universities are going to ask for approximately three letters of recommendation from your past University. Sometimes a  professor  mainly writes about your accomplishments,  achievements and your contribution towards the university.  Sometimes professors do write about the cultural contribution that you have made in your academic career.
  2. Professional Letter Of Recommendation :-  MBA colleges in foreign countries have a requirement of work experience in order to pursue a master's degree from the university. the foreign university May request a letter of recommendation from your past University faculty member for professor. This letter of recommendation mainly includes your ability to solve problems,  work with the team,  your contribution towards the team  and also somewhat your experience and exposure to the domain that you are willing to study.

The importance of LOR

If you are willing to go abroad and study your higher education then LOR is one of the most important things that you'll come across. You should prepare your letter of recommendation in advance and get your  letter of recommendation from your identified professors.  This document will provide you with the support for your profile  from your past university  professors.  you should remember key points which will help you to create an outstanding LOR  for the admission of  authority.

Key points to remember in a  Recommendation Letter (LOR):

A letter of recommendation should always have 400 to 500 words, that should draw a picture about you, your academic vision,  your weaknesses,  your strengths. If the  foreign institution has not specified any kind of word limit the essay should not cross 400 to 500 words because that is the optimum size.  The letter of recommendation should consider some sort of basic format and must not go out of track.

Foreign universities won't have the letter of recommendation to be on the official letterhead.

Most of the universities require this letter to be on the official letterhead. In case of a professional  recommendation letter there should be a letterhead of the company.

Students should be aware of this fact that sometimes professors or the recommender  change the organisation in that scenario it can create a problem for you.  so that recommender has to be from the past organisation of the past institution where you have gained your  experience

One thing important to remember in the latter case is that the letterhead should be of the company the recommender is working in. This usually creates a problem if your recommender has moved on to another organization. Hence, the student must know how to choose the right recommender.
